David will return to Tapestry New Opera as the librettist for a new collaboration of experimental punk and opera in Tap: ex Metallurgy. This piece explores modes through which opera might assume a twenty-first century rebirth and involves collaborating with members of Canadian hardcore band Fucked Up, and two of Canada’s most masterful and versatile opera singers, mezzo-soprano Krisztina Szabó and tenor David Pomeroy.
