Toronto! 3 Shows!

Inspired by Bela Bartok’s (& Bela Balázs) Bluebeard’s Castle and containing original compositions by Adam Sherkin, David James Brock’s one act play, Room of Keys, tells the story of a man who follows clues left by his father’s estate to a secret and abandoned music shop. Once there, the father-son divide is told through seven memories and instruments – from a child's toy and harmonium to a Bösendorfer Grand – culminating in a concert of Bartok’s other work.
